                                                      Go Team Rocket!

Without a doubt, "The Pokemon Idol Extravaganza" was easily the most anticipated event in all of Unova region that year. The event promised to bring together the most famous young women Pokemon trainers from all over. Famous female trainers from Kanto, Hoenn, and other places more distant still were booked for appearances at the event, where they could show themselves off in any number of ways. Pokemon Contests, meet-and-greet events with their fans, Pokemon Battles, fashion shows, and more were promised, making it hard for any famous trainer to turn down the invitation. Girls who looked up to these bright young women, guys who just wanted to look at those bright young women, or Pokemon trainers of all ages with a real interest in meeting famous trainers all looked forward to the event eagerly.
Certain people in Unova looked forward to the event for entirely different reasons, however. The Unova Pokemon League, working together with the police, was very interested in the Extravaganza, not for who would be attending the event, but for who would be orchestrating it. Stellar Associates, inc. was suspected of illegal activities involving Pokemon, though neither the League nor the police had been able to tie them to anything solid. Stellar Associates was a company led by foreigners from Kanto, and staffed mostly by foreigners from the other regions. Stellar Associates had bought up a lot of the property that had been abandoned by Team Plasma after their disbandment almost 10 years ago, which was odd, because Stellar Associates was supposed to be a Promotions and Public Relations company, a firm focused on advertising and holding events, star-studded parties like the Extravaganza. However, the Extravaganza was the first event of its kind to be put on by Stellar Associates, who had previously run low-scale advertising campaigns. It raised the interest of the authorities when Stellar Associates suddenly announced the Extravaganza, and they wondered if Stellar had caught on to their suspicion, and was only hosting this big event to try to abate that suspicion.
Iris was determined to find out. The wild child from the Dragon Village had matured into a young woman physically, though little had changed about her. She was still completely dedicated to helping Pokemon, she was still often loud and overly-energetic, and she still had her absurdly large, flowing black hair that got in the way of everything, and still wore her beige shirt, pink sash, and white Capri pants. The only changes were in height as well as in her feminine figure, which had filled out nicely. She had grown, too, in that now she was the sole gym leader for Opelucid City.
From among the Unova Pokemon League, Iris had been the one to volunteer to investigate Stellar Associate's motives more closely during the Extravaganza, though she was not alone here. Her fellow Gym Leaders Elesa and Skyla, as well as the Elite IV's Caitlin were here, as was the legendary Cynthia of Sinnoh, who had not lost her masterful talents as a Pokemon trainer or her good looks over the years. It was really Iris' mission, and the others that happened to be there would only serve as backup if things went poorly.
The first day of festivities was more low-key, opportunities for the invited Idols to meet and mingle with one another as well as with limited numbers of their fans (day passes for the first day had been hot commodities indeed) and peruse the various vendors that had set up in the Castelia Convention Center, a Stellar Associates-owned facility. Iris roamed through the halls, energetically greeting trainers she knew and introducing herself to ones she had never met, though her actual purpose was in trying to catch glimpses of Stellar Associates' employees, who were wandering here and there, looking mysterious in black business suits. Specifically, she was trying to find out where they were coming from and where they were going to, as an "employees only" section would be the best place to find clues on any of Stellar Associates' possible wrongdoings.
Eventually Iris spotted one black-suited man quickly disengaging himself from a group of fans and beginning to rapidly head towards the far end of the convention hall. Quickly, but not so quick as to arouse suspicion, Iris began following him, weaving through the crowds that were quite extensive despite the attendance limits. Her focus entirely on her quarry, Iris eventually rammed into a passing girl, knocking both of them to the ground.
"Oh no, I'm sorry!" Iris quickly apologized. She sat up quickly, rapidly scanning the crowd, but the employee she had been pursuing was gone. "Are you alright?" she asked.
"A little startled, that's all," the other woman said. Iris stared at her momentarily, knowing she had seen this face somewhere before… in a commercial, on a billboard?
"You're the Princess of Hoenn!" Iris exclaimed. Iris was vastly more interesting in battling Pokemon than in showing them off in contests, but even she knew about the Princess of Hoenn, named because she had become the best in her region as far as Pokemon Contests went, and who had become an Idol in her own right, growing into young adulthood with beauty to match her talent. Now she was only in a fairly normal trainer's outfit for now, however, much of her hair hidden by a bandana, though a good deal of her sandy brown hair flared out from underneath it.
"Just call me May," the girl said, extending a hand in friendship. "I don't know where this "Princess of Hoenn" thing came from, though it is kinda nice being treated like royalty sometimes. And you're… one of the Gym Leaders here…" May pondered.
"Iris," came the reply. "From Opelucid City. I train dragons!"
The two trainers exchanged pleasantries, and, after May asked where Iris had been running to when she bumped into her, Iris decided to tell the truth, and May resolved to help her. So the two girls resumed their hunt for more Stellar Associates employees. Eventually they made their way to an aisle of vendors' stalls at the far end of the hall, an area where the vendors had not even set up yet and were still preparing for tomorrow, when the event would open fully to the public. Few enough people were back there, so it was easy to spot another black-suited employee make his way towards a door situated at a narrow gap between two stalls and disappear. Slowly, nonchalantly, the two girls walked down the aisle, pretending to merely look at the half-set-up stalls, until they noticed another girl slowly coming their direction and apparently doing the same thing.
The girl was dressed in what she called the "classic" look, with supershort blue-jean shorts held up by suspenders and a small yellow top that bared her midriff, with her fiery red hair sticking off to one side in a short ponytail, a look she had used when she was much younger. She was all grown up now, but that only made the rather revealing look all the more appealing. She looked directly at Iris and May, and the two girls slowly approached her, meeting together near the small door the employee had disappeared into.
"So you're the one from Kanto, right?" Iris asked.
"Yup," the new girl replied. "I'm Misty, leader of the Cerulean City Gym. So you think this is it?"
"Mm-hmm," Iris said. "If they're up to something, it's definitely back here. Oh!" she suddenly realized, "and I'm Iris from Opelucid City, nice to meet you!"
"May," May said cheerily, "and can someone please tell me what's going on?" she added exasperatedly.
"The guy in charge of Stellar Associates, Mangino, came from Kanto originally," Misty said. "No-one was ever able to pin him for any crimes back home, but the Pokemon League back there is pretty sure that he was up to no good, so when some of us got invitations to this Idol Extravaganza, they sent me to check it out, though I think Sabrina came by too..." she put a finger to her chin, trying to remember. "But anyway, we'll find out soon enough."
"Right, let's go on in!" Iris veritably shouted.
May cringed. "Isn't this supposed to be some sort of stealth mission?" she asked.
"Not really," Misty said confidently, "For three Pokemon trainers in the prime of their careers, there's nothing we can't face head-on."
"I guess," May agreed, now sounding confident as well.
The three girls proceeded through the door. Beyond they found a fairly nondescript hallway, where normal doors led into normal rooms, either offices or employee lounges, all nice and neat. The only peculiarity was that they found no employees anywhere, and followed the hallways back towards a larger door that red "KEEP OUT" in bold letters.
"Might as well be an invitation," Misty said smugly. Iris reached for the pack that hung at her side, making sure that her Pokeballs were still there, feeling eager for a good, virtuous fight, though afraid that she might not like what she was about to find.
Beyond the door, the girls found another large room, a facility about an eighth of the size of the sprawling convention hall proper. A stage and a large television monitor sat at the far side, while the floor was covered in sand on the near side. A few chairs and boxes were scattered about in between the sand and the stage.
"Well this is definitely something," May said as the three girls stepped out across the sand. It truly was sand, and not merely a sand-covering on the floor, but something that must have run surprisingly deep.
"Yeah, but there's still no-one here," Iris said, sounding disappointed.
As if in response to Iris' complaint, the ground lurched, a sinkhole suddenly appearing in the sand, going downwards into the floor. The three girls found themselves fast sinking into the sand as they were pulled in closer to the center, the constantly-shifting mass preventing them from moving their feet or legs. "What the?" Misty shouted.
        "Quicksand?" May added with dismay.
"No, a Pokemon!" Iris said, pointing towards the center of the sinkhole. At the center, the three distinctive brown heads of Dugtrio emerged. The Dugtrio was utilizing its ability, Arena Trap, to keep opponents from escaping.
Misty began reaching for her pack, knowing she was quite well-equipped to stop a Ground-type Pokemon like Dugtrio, when a new voice came: "Tanigrowth, use Vine Whip!" Before Misty could grab a Pokeball, she and the other two were seized by blue tendrils that wrapped firmly around their bodies, trapping them more thoroughly than the Dugtrio had. The three girls were hoisted into the air and landed neatly on three of the chairs that were on the other side of the room. All three struggled in the Tanigrowth's grip, but the girls were firmly bound and now utterly trapped, unable even to access their Pokemon.
"Welcome," another voice said, "to the Pokemon Idol Extravaganza." The voice belonged to another nondescript man in a black suit, though his was somewhat more elaborately adorned than the Stellar Associates employees. He was the only person they could see, so it was clear that the Tanigrowth holding them was behind them. The voice of the Tanigrowth's trainer had been different than Mangino's, meaning it was likely that he had assistance, though they couldn't see it.
"Mangino," Misty said. "So you're behind this!"
"What are you trying to do to us?" Iris demanded.
"Behind? Trying to do?" Mangino asked, an odd smirk on his face. "You make it sound like I'm up to something wrong. From the perspective of me and my company, I am just corralling a few trespassers, three young women who willfully ignored signs saying "employees only," or "keep out."
"Don't lie to us," May said as she struggled. "Let us go!"
"Slow down, my dear," Mangino said. "Now, I've apprehended some trespassers, that part I established, but I was unaware that the trespassers were VIPs, guests our company had invited to the event we're holding." He approached Misty, "Misty, the Water-type Gym Leader from Kanto's Cerulean City, favorite of fanboys the world over."
"Ugh, what's that supposed to mean? Don't be creepy!" Misty admonished as she writhed in the Tanigrowth's grip.
Mangino ignored her. "May, popularly known as the Princess of Hoenn, one of the foremost Pokemon Coordinators in the world."
"And I'm a strong trainer, too," May said defiantly. "Let me go and I'll show you."
Mangino ignored her as well. "And Iris, the girl who knows the hearts of dragons, leader of the Opelucid City gym, and with a fairly large fan-following as well."
"What is the point of all this?" Iris asked, feeling rather disturbed by the man's conduct as well.
"It helps me get my story straight," Mangino said, his grin now downright sinister. "Three trespassers were captured who turned out to be VIPs. Upon learning their identity, Stellar Associates presented them an offer to become permanently employed as the spokes-women and official company representatives for Stellar Associates, and its parent corporation, the new and improved Team Rocket."
"Team Rocket?!?" Misty exclaimed, knowing that name all too well.
"You heard me incorrectly. It's the new Team Rocket, a separate entity from the one that fool Giovanni had in Kanto. He had some good ideas, but was clouded by his own arrogance. I was a low-ranking officer in that organization, but instead of trying to rebuild the organization quickly like those fools who moved over to Johto, I waited for my time, and gathered the remains of other gutted corporations in Sinnoh, Hoenn, and Unova, to build my own Pokemon-related company, which owns Stellar Associates as a branch."
"So you were up to no good!" Iris said.
"Off the record? Possibly," Mangino said. "But as far as Stellar Associates can tell you, the company that owns us is largely dedicated to managing our finances, though it may make use of some of the facilities we own. But now we need to move on to the next phase of employee orientation."
"What is that supposed to mean?" May said, angry but with a hint of fear in her voice.
"There's no way you're getting us to work for you," Misty spat.
"Please, hold all questions until you've been through the employee orientation process," Mangino said. As he said that, a few things happened. Some employees came up and began tying Iris and May directly to the chairs with rope, and Tanigrowth then released them. Misty, however, was lifted out of the chair by Tanigrowth's vines and moved forward, closer to the stage. Two employees had appeared in front of the stage, each holding a Pokeball, and from both Pokeballs emerged the Bell Pokemon, Bronzong.
"Let me go!" Misty insisted, now writhing frantically as she began to guess what might happen to her, knowing some of Bronzong's moveset.
"Bronzong, use Hypnosis!" called one employee.
"Bronzong, use Confuse Ray!" called the other.
The two Pokemon acted simultaneously, one emitting soothing, rippling waves, while the other shot a beam of disorienting light. The two effects hit Misty at the same time, and she suddenly went limp in the Tanigrowth's grip. Mangino smiled and made a motion with his hand, and the Tanigrowth's trainer had the Pokemon maneuver Misty around so that she was facing her companions.
She looked like a doll, as she was hanging limply, but her green eyes were open, glassy and staring at nothing. Her head lolled slightly, independent of the gentle swaying of her limp body, having only the most basic motor control over it.
"What have you done to her?" May asked, angry and horrified at once.
"It's not what we've done, but what we will do. Set her down," Mangino said. The Tanigrowth uncoiled Misty, leaving her on the floor. She could stand, but only barely, seeming to sway in her apparent mindlessness. Another employee, this one a woman, came and took Misty by the wrist. Misty complied, allowing herself to be led along by the other woman, having no thought in her head but the external stimulus. The employee led her behind a screen that had been set up in the room. Iris and May watched Misty walk, entranced somewhat merely by the sight of their companion's mindlessness, compelled by the fearful sight of it.
Misty and the employee disappeared behind the screen. For a few minutes there was nothing but the sound of rustling, then Misty emerged, her yellow top and jean shorts gone, replaced by a glossy black cheerleader's uniform, with red sleeves and black stockings, and she carried two pompoms with red and black streamers. A large red letter R was emblazoned over Misty's breasts. She had another accessory as well, one more difficult to spot: a headset was attached to her ear, the microphone visible on her face.
She was still being led around by the woman, mindlessly complicit, and was led up onto the stage. There was a larger screen behind the stage, and on that screen an image appeared, a spiral swirl that bored into the center of the screen, but in front of the swirl on the screen, a cheerleader appeared, wearing much the same uniform that Misty was wearing. The cheerleader began to cheer, dancing and waving her pompoms and apparently calling out cheers, though Iris and May could not hear the calls.
"You're going to turn us into cheerleaders?!?" May asked incredulously.
"If you had been paying attention, I said "spokeswomen," Mangino replied. "Though a good spokeswoman should have a cheerleader-like mentality; ready to lend her support to her company with an energetic, good-natured attitude. It does help, of course, if the women are famous and attractive."
All individuals present observed Misty for a moment, watching her as she stood unevenly on her feet, lifelessly watching the hypnotic induction. Iris was trying hard to look at Misty specifically, and not to look at the screen, knowing it was designed to steal away her will, though that also caused her to be strangely intrigued by it, lured by the possibility of something that would try to dominate her completely, wishing to test her will against it.
"She'll work for us as long as we need her, and she'll never know that her desire to work for us is not really hers." Mangino said. "Go ahead," he then ordered his subordinates.
"Shut your eyes, May!" Iris warned, knowing that the two Bronzongs were going to do to them what they had done to Misty. Iris and May scrunched their eyes shut, determined to resist or defy whatever trick Mangino was trying to play on them, as futile as that resistance might be.
And futile it was. "Won't work," Mangino said, then he motioned towards the others.
"Bronzong, use Hypnosis!" and "Bronzong, use Confuse Ray!" were heard, and although Iris saw neither the soothing ripples of Hypnosis nor the disorienting light of Confuse Ray, she suddenly felt her mind turn off, as surely as if someone had reached inside her brain and flipped a switch.
It was a wildly liberating feeling, at least as far as Iris was able to feel it. It was like going to sleep, and yet being conscious of going to sleep, aware that she was passing into a state of utter helplessness, yet lacking any concern about her welfare. She was simply "off," and as far as she knew, being "off" was a perfectly natural state. Her senses were still active, she could still see and hear, but she did not care about what she saw or what she heard. The Hypnosis and Confusion blended together perfectly in her brain to put her half to sleep, and then completely confound her ability to think, leaving her aware, but not perceptive, completely passive and in the power of her captors.
May had been placed into the same state, though Iris was unaware of that, because she lacked the will to turn her head, lacked the concern to investigate her friend. All she had to do was sit and stare forward. She was swaying slightly, her eyes glassy and doll-like, as she saw the Bronzongs being returned to their Pokeballs and the stage where Misty's induction continued. Misty was now dancing vigorously, eagerly, and shouting out various words and phrases as she learned the mantra of a Team Rocket cheerleader. Iris observed it all without having a thought in her head about any of it.
Iris felt it when someone came by to undo the ropes that had bound her to the chair, leaving her momentarily to sway limply with only the chair to hold her upright. She then felt a hand, soft and feminine, grab her arm and hoist her into a standing position. Iris and May were being led along by the same woman employee that had changed Misty into the cheerleader uniform, and now, for the first time since entering her trance, Iris felt something. It felt pleasant to be led along by the other woman, to not have to think about what she was doing, and to just do what other people prompted her to. She did not think about "obeying" the other woman, because there was no thought of "obedience," for to obey she had at least to have some sense of self. Iris had none. She was an extension of the other woman, walking because the other woman bid her to walk, a tool to be used who found, in its own, unthinking way, pleasure in the fact that it was being used.
The woman led Iris and May behind the changing screen, and there for the first time Iris heard words directed at her. "Here, you two change into these." The outside directive of the woman's voice filled her as easily and completely as the woman's guiding touch had. The words matched the visual context of what Iris was being given, a red-and-black cheerleader uniform, including black boots, red kneesocks, and a pair of pompoms. Iris took the uniform and set it down. She stripped off her old clothes mechanically, tearing away the vestiges of her old life where she had had opinions about what she wanted to wear, stripping down to her white bra and panties. It was almost symbolic of her transformation: the old Iris was being broken down, removing the parts of her that were not necessary for the new role she had been assigned, and then re-dressing herself in the uniform that signified her new purpose.
May and Iris finished dressing themselves, and stood idle for a moment before the woman gave them more input. "Wear these," she said, giving them both a headset of the same kind as the one Misty now wore, and the girls mechanically donned them.
Taking a girl in each hand, the female employee led them on to the stage. She let go of Iris just to the left of Misty, and pulled May over to Misty's right side, setting both so that they too were listlessly staring at the screen. The spirals of the screen, which had aroused an odd curiosity in Iris before she had been entranced, had no effect on her now that her mind was already deeply asleep. The spirals were simply there, colors on a monitor, more sensory input to flow into a mind that could neither truly receive nor process it.
A voice came from the headset, filling Iris' mind just as easily and fully as the woman's voice had. This too was a female voice, but more bland and mechanical, designed to be insistent but to invoke no response. The three girls had been utterly deprogrammed, and now it was time to put their minds back together. The process was proceeding with Misty, who was internalizing the dance moves, but more importantly, the emotions that went along with the dance moves, deep-seated corrections to her thoughts and feelings, molding her into a different woman altogether.
"You hear all of these words," the voice began. "Listen and obey. Look at the screen."
Iris looked up at the screen, meaning that she really looked at it, the ability to be aware of things once again resurfacing in her mind, though slowly. Her mind had been put deeply asleep, and it would take some time before it was properly awoken from that slumber, and when it was awoken, it would be on Team Rocket's terms. Upon seeing the screen, she saw the spirals which whirled behind the cheerleader, their steady inward motion guaranteeing that her gaze became focused on the on-screen cheerleader, and did not wander from that captivity.
She looks like she's having fun, a small voice said in Iris' head, the first thought that had emerged in her brain since she had been put under. And there was nothing wrong with that. The woman dancing happily on screen certainly looked like she was enjoying herself, and the fact that she was merely an actress who had been put into a recording for Team Rocket's sinister objectives did not enter Iris' mind.
The voice seemed to be thinking along the same lines. "Look at the cheerleader. She is a member of Team Rocket. She is having fun. She enjoys supporting Team Rocket simply by having fun. She has no responsibilities, no concerns, other than having fun for Team Rocket."
Fun… Team Rocket…? Iris began to be slightly confused. Clearly the cheerleader was having fun, but Iris' still-confused mind could not link the concept of "fun" to "Team Rocket." Was it really fun to cheer for Team Rocket?
"Let's Go! Team Rocket! Let's Go! Goooo Rocket!" suddenly the cheerleader's voice came in through the headset, the audio Iris heard now matching what she saw on the screen. She had been initiated into the looping routine being performed by the cheerleader near the end of the cycle, the climax of her joyous ode to Team Rocket servitude.
"Listen to the cheerleader," the voice commanded. "Her words are your thoughts. Her words are your being." Iris and May heeded this command, while it merely reinforced itself in Misty, who had already fallen under that directive.
"Ready?" the cheerleader began on-screen. "Okay! Today I'm going to teach you all about how to cheer for the number one organization in the world, Team Rocket! Cheering for Team Rocket is one of the easiest jobs you can have, but don't take it too easily. Team Rocket expects you to cheer with all your heart, so you have to learn a few easy things. First: Team Rocket is number one!" the cheerleader thrust a pompom up in the air eagerly to enforce her point.
Team Rocket… is number one…? Iris' mind accepted that fact simply because she had to accept it, but something about the idea felt foreign, wrong, disconnected with what was natural.
"Second: everything Team Rocket does is good. But if people are saying Team Rocket is doing bad things, don't be mad at them, just try to show them how good and fun Team Rocket really is. Being cheerful…" the cheerleader began shaking her pompoms in front of her, "is the only part…" she jumped up in the air "of being a cheerleader!" she then landed and did a split.
Cheerful… Rocket… good… Iris thought, an odd happiness beginning to spread through her which eased away the earlier suspicions that had been creeping up upon her slowly-awakening mind.
"So now that you know what to think about Team Rocket, let's get going!" the cheerleader said. "Follow my moves the best that you can, but don't worry about not being perfect. Having a good attitude and loving Team Rocket will always be good enough!"
Iris felt happier upon hearing those words, knowing that Team Rocket accepted her just for what she felt about them, and would not worry about how well she actually performed. She could just perform, freely, and it felt liberating to realize that she could be good enough without ever having to try. She smiled, her ability to feel emotions returning to her in a limited capacity, for now she felt only the emotions that she had been directed to feel, but it was impossible even for her to tell if her happiness, her smile, was genuine. The spirals and the cheerleader now dominated her gaze, and her eyes reflected the spiral, some trick of the arcane hypnotic arts.
The combination of her eager, smiling face and her spiral-swirling eyes showed that Iris' reconstruction was proceeding perfectly, that she was slowly awakening from her trance into a life of enslavement with the cheerleader's dance leading the way. It was true for May as well, the brown-haired girl had her spiraling eyes transfixed upon the screen as she internalized the mantra of being a cheerleader, the mantra of being a spokeswoman for Team Rocket, a willing slave. Misty was further under than either of them, having already run through the dance routine once, having it burned into her soul.
The three girls danced together: Misty in the center and with Iris and May on either side, following the moves of the cheerleader further into slavery. The dancing served no purpose in the process of hypnotic reinforcement aside from reinforcement itself: dancing was a vigorous, physical activity, and cheering was a vigorous activity that was associated with good feelings. As they danced and cheered, the young women felt better about the role they were being taught, that giving themselves completely to being cheerleaders could be a joyous experience, that this lifestyle was fun and desirable, that they did not want anything else in their lives but to support and cheer for Team Rocket.
And this time, when the dance ended, so did their old lives.

***

        "Go Rocket Go!"
Iris, the girl who knows the hearts of dragons, respected Gym Leader of the Unova region, May, the Princess of Hoenn, champion of the Pokemon Contest circuit, and Misty, beloved Gym Leader of the Kanto region. After the Pokemon Idol Extravaganza, they had returned to their old lives, but with one significant alteration. During the Extravaganza, all three, together, had made an announcement that they would, aside from pursuing their Pokemon-related careers, all become spokeswomen for Stellar Associates.
"Who do we love? Team Rocket!"
Their work had spread the reputation of Stellar Associates far and wide, and now the public relations firm had a lot of legitimate business, the perfect place to launder the large amounts of money they made in their International Pokemon theft ring. Furthermore, the dedicated public relations work of the young women, and the respect they still commanded in the Pokemon community, had eliminated all suspicion that the authorities had once harbored towards Stellar Associates, meaning they were free to get away with all of it.
        "Go Rocket Go!"
The three girls, wearing their cheerleader uniforms, now danced in the executive suite for the pleasure of the board members of the New Team Rocket. That is the best thing about them, Mangino thought. Not for all the help they give to the organization, even though they help out a lot, but because they belong to us. Aside from their opinions on Stellar Associates, the girls lived their normal lives usually, but when they returned for "business meetings" with their bosses, they would be re-hypnotized, reinforcing their enslavement, reinforcing the joy and eagerness with which they promoted Stellar Associates and protected Team Rocket. They cheered now, pompoms waving and their eyes filled with the hypnotic swirls that continued to indoctrinate them. And they make good eye candy.
        "Gooooo Rocket!"

End.
A request from Animelover1808, another one of a very old stack, that asked for an adaptation of this Rosvo pic [link] It features Misty, May, and Iris (with Iris as the "protagonist" specifically), and focuses more on the induction and the sensation of it.

This also is the closest deviation to marking my 2 year anniversary for writing on this site.

This has been sitting in my favorites for a long time. I really enjoyed reading it.
