                                                        Shadow Games Harem

It was a place, and yet not a place. It was beyond space, beyond time, a place without light or hope. It was the domain of losers, a place where people who had dabbled in a dark power and fallen in battle were consigned. There all the losers dwelt together, facing the consequences of their failure. It wasn't Hell, though it bore many similarities to Hell, except that its denizens arrived there alive and escape was technically possible. One of the main things that made this place different from Hell was that everyone there weren't all power-hungry duelists who had sought the power of the Shadow Games and failed to attain it. Some of them were merely pawns, caught up in the grand power-schemes of others, victims of forces they could not understand.
It was also unlike Hell in that some ventured there willingly; Duel Spirits could step into and out of that world, adjacent as it was to the realm of the Duel Spirits. Some were Dark-oriented monsters who found the loathsome, despairing place rather pleasant, but some came for knowledge. Knowledge was abundant there, because many ambitious men and women, well learned in arcane mystic arts, found themselves trapped there, and some of the more sorcerous monsters occasionally ventured in to learn these secrets and increase their power.
At one point, Dark Magician Girl sought some of this knowledge, and in the process changed things up in that drab world significantly… But our story does not begin there. This tale begins some time after Dark Magician Girl arrived in the Shadow Realm seeking knowledge.

****

Suddenly her butt hit a hard, cold, stone surface, carried backwards by the remnants of her momentum. It took her a few moments to process what had just happened to her, then suddenly Alexis Rhodes remembered. The recent Duel Academy graduate had been sleeping in her home when she had been awoken by a home invader, a mysterious, cloaked duelist, and suddenly found herself snared in a Shadow Game. Despite the imminent danger, she had still been very sleepy, and thus had been sloppy, making a critical mistake that cost her the game.
She hadn't known what it would feel like to lose one of those games, the closest she had experienced had been the whole Society of Light thing, which she didn't remember too much of. It had actually been fairly painless, an instant transition from her bedroom to… where was she?
Alexis stood slowly, her bare feet feeling cold against the stone floor. She assessed herself, and she looked the same as she had when she had gone to bed the night before, her blonde hair worn long and voluminous, almost down to her waist, and she was still clad in her nightgown, frail periwinkle and almost translucent. Around her she observed only darkness, though for some reason she could see herself and her surroundings, so light had to be coming from somewhere. She was on a wide, circular stone platform floating in the middle of nowhere, though she could see other constructs floating at random out in the void.
She was pondering the vastness and emptiness of it all when her solitude was suddenly interrupted. Another girl appeared suddenly, landing in a heap on the floor. Alexis ran over to her quickly, observing the features of her new comrade. She was young, around Alexis' age or perhaps just slightly older. She had shoulder-length green hair and was currently wearing only a blue bra and panties. Alexis crouched over her momentarily, concerned that something might be wrong with her, but she seemed to be breathing well enough.
Suddenly the girl stirred, startling Alexis who backed away from her. "I surrender…" the girl said in a distant voice.
"What?" Alexis said. The girl stood slowly, her arms held out before her, and she began to walk in a listless shamble, as though she were sleepwalking. Her opened eyes indicated that something was definitely wrong, as they were dark and lifeless.
"…my soul," the girl said. "Surrender my soul… surrender…" She continued to sleepwalk in a straight line, but there wasn't anywhere she could go, except straight over the side into the void.
"Wait!" Alexis shouted, dashing towards the girl. She grabbed her torso, then cast the other girl back to the floor.
"Ow!" the girl said as she landed on her butt.
"I'm sorry, did I hurt you?" Alexis asked.
"I… wha…?" Luna said. "No, I'm fine," she said without thinking. "What happened? Where am I?"
"That's what I'd like to know," Alexis said. "But I think this might be the Shadow Realm. Oh, yeah," she remembered, "my name's Alexis, what's yours?"
"Luna," she said, standing up. "So… the Shadow Realm… eh, it's not as nice as the Duel Spirits Realm."
"The Duel Spirits Realm…?" Alexis asked.
"Yeah, I was there for a while when-" Luna's recollection was interrupted.
There was another arrival, this one more prepared than the first two had been, landing on her feet. She was clad in a slim white dress, somewhat frayed from some danger. She had tanned skin, shoulder-length black hair with two gold-adorned locks on either side, and fierce blue eyes that looked livid with rage. "Damnit!" she shouted, "I'm not going down like this! You can't leave me here! Augh!" She stood there a moment, looking both angry and a little sad.
"Are you okay?" Alexis asked, approaching the new girl, for she was young, appearing no older than Luna.
The new girl answered her question with a question. "Are you also prisoners of the Shadow Realm?"
        "Seems like it," Luna said.
"My brother betrayed me," the new arrival said. "He's been consumed by darkness and sent me here, and I wasn't strong enough to stop him." She looked at her two scantily-clad compatriots. "Why are you two dressed like that?"
"I was ambushed in my sleep," Alexis said, blushing slightly now that she was aware of being dressed only in her nightgown.
"I dunno," Luna added. "I can't remember how I got here, or why I'm dressed like this…" she too blushed a little. "So you seem to know a bit about this," she said, addressing the newcomer, "er…"
"Ishizu," she said. "Ishizu Ishtar. And no, I don't know too much about this place. All I know is that you don't come back once you're here."
That was certainly a depressing sentiment, and for a moment an awkward silence prevailed among the three girls. Then Ishizu suddenly cringed, "ugh. There's a powerful, dark magical aura here."
"No, in the Shadow Realm?" Luna said with mock incredulity.
Ishizu glared at her, then closed her eyes, trying to get a feel for it; the temple guardian had gained a solid body of magical experience in her life. "It's an overbearing force, bearing down on our souls, calling us to be a part of it."
Alexis pondered those words, remembering how Luna had initially appeared. Surrender my soul.
Again they were interrupted by a new arrival. Not another girl, but a number of Fallen Angel monsters that swooped in out of the void, monsters of differing build, but all armored fiends with huge, coal-black wings, landed nimbly on the stone platform on which they were confined. "What do you want?" Ishizu asked suspiciously.
The lead Fallen Angel, a Darklord Asmodeus, responded. "Her majesty, the mistress of this realm, requires your presence. We will bear you to her."
"The Shadow Realm has a leader?" Ishizu asked, yet more suspicious. She and Alexis backed away from the Angels, but Luna remained.
"We should go with them," she said, her eyes closed. "It'll be alright."
"You have no choice in the matter," the Asmodeus said, then he and the others swooped in, seized the three girls, and flew off into the void. The Fallen Angels bore them swiftly, and Alexis was only able to catch glimpses of other platforms, not able to ascertain if the other platforms were occupied by other victims sharing their pitiful fate, and wondering who would be dark and fearsome enough to rule a place like this.
Soon they arrived at a cluster of larger platforms, interlinked by elaborate stone bridges. The platforms bore a number of large, open air Egyptian-style temples, areas encircled by stone columns. The largest of these temples sat on the platform in the center of the group, but the Fallen Angels dove for one of the smallest platforms on the outside. There was another Fallen Angel already waiting there, one that had brought another person with it. As they drew closer, Alexis noticed it was a girl, this one closer to her own age. She had short brown hair, blue eyes, and a look somewhere between fear and indignation on her face, wearing only a plain pink bra and panties.
"Ishizu!" the girl said as the Fallen Angels landed, dropping the girls gently on the platform. "It's me!"
"I don't know you," Ishizu said coldly.
"It's me, Tea Gardner, Yugi's friend," Tea insisted.
"I have no idea what you're talking about," Ishizu replied.
"Wait, you knew Yugi? Yugi Muto?" Alexis asked, recognizing the name.
"Silence!" the Asmodeus shouted sternly. "Now that you're all assembled, the mistress will receive you. Go," it said, pointing towards the bridge leading from the small platform straight to the large central platform. Unable to think of anything else they could do, the four girls started walking up the bridge, comparing notes on the way. Like Luna, Tea did not know how she got here or why she was wearing what she was wearing. None of them knew who could possibly be in control of this domain, but they were about to find out.
They reached the top of the bridge and proceeded into the main temple. In the center of the temple was an elaborately adorned throne, and upon that throne…
"Dark Magician Girl?!?" the four girls shouted in unison. The blonde Duel-Monster girl looked a little different than usual, wearing her usual clothing but with a black and gold color scheme instead of blue and pink, but the greatest surprise came from what the girl had surrounded herself with. Surrounding her was a veritable harem of beautiful women standing in a row to one side or another of the throne, a rainbow of skin and hair colors, though all wearing the same harem-girl outfit: translucent silk veil covering the mouth, bra, and silk loincloth, all gold in color.
"So my new girls have arrived," Dark Magician Girl said. "Welcome."
"Are you the one who brought us to the Shadow Realm?" Tea demanded.
"Bring you? No," Dark Magician Girl replied, her voice reaching a lower octave, less commanding and more seductive. "People just pop in here for their own reasons. This place used to be so dull until I took control, but even ruling this place with an iron fist has grown dull. The only joy I get out of this place anymore is… new conquests."
        "Conquests?" Alexis asked.
"My slave girls," Dark Magician Girl replied, motioning to the line of harem girls standing to either side of her. It was then that Alexis noticed something else matched among the girls other than their clothing; all of them had dead, lifeless doll's eyes. "The only thing more fun than having them is getting more of them." She drew one of the girls closer to her, embracing her, touching and stroking the harem girl's smooth skin. "Making them surrender their bodies," she said as her fingers traced the curves of the harem girl's breasts, "and making them surrender their souls," she added, stroking the girl's cheeks then giving her a light kiss.
Surrender my soul, Alexis remembered again. "So you're the one projecting that dark magical power to control everything in here?"
"Duh," Dark Magician Girl quipped. "You four seem like you're pretty strong though, if none of you have succumbed to the aura yet."
Alexis bit her lip, again recalling how Luna had arrived, but didn't say anything. If Dark Magician Girl thought they were so strong, maybe it would give them more leverage.
"How about we duel for it?" Dark Magician Girl asked.
"For what?" Tea asked suspiciously, a mixture of fear and suspicion in her eyes.
"For freedom," Dark Magician Girl replied. "Each of you gets a duel, if you win, you go free, but if you lose…" she left off her statement and merely smiled.
The four captives conferred together. "She's lying," Ishizu said. "There's no way she's letting us go free no matter what we do."
        "You're right," Alexis said grimly.
"But there has to be something we can do!" Tea said desperately. "I'm not giving up!"
        "I'll go first," Luna said.
"There's no way we're wasting our time dueling her," Ishizu said.
"No, but maybe I can get through to her," Luna replied. "I'm a Signer, I've spoken to Duel Spirits before. There is something wrong with Dark Magician Girl, and maybe I can get through to her."
"I don't buy it," Ishizu said, ever the pessimist. "But if you can humor her long enough, maybe I can come up with a spell to get us out of this. I learned magic with my brother before he… never mind," she finished. "Go ahead."
"I'll duel you, Dark Magician Girl," Luna declared loudly, stepping away from the others and closer to the throne where Dark Magician Girl still sat.
"Cool!" she replied, leaping up from her sitting position and striding confidently towards her challenger. She looked much more imposing than Luna, though she was not much taller, her elegant regalia made her seem bigger than the nearly-nude young woman. From nowhere, she drew forth a deck of cards. Luna looked curious, trying to ascertain what Dark Magician Girl was up to. Meanwhile, Tea and Alexis moved to shield Ishizu, who stood there with her hands clasped and her eyes closed, trying to summon the ambient magical power that floated about.
"Let's go!" Dark Magician Girl declared, her deck now floating in place next to her as she held one card.
"Wait, I didn't even get a deck!" Luna protested.
"Not important!" Dark Magician girl retorted. "I play my trap card, Veil of Submission!"
"Tch," Alexis grunted. "She was lying."
        "Look!" Tea shouted.
Luna began floating into the air as the trap card activated. "No, wait, what's happening to me?" she panicked. There was a burst of light, then a gold-colored translucent silk veil, just like the ones the harem girls were wearing, appeared over Luna's mouth. "No, stop, I won't be one… I, I… surrender," she said, her voice growing lower with each word. Her eyes glossed over, growing dark and doll-like. Luna ceased struggling in midair, then was lowered to the ground. "My mistress…" she said, bowing mechanically.
"See, it's fun to surrender!" Dark Magician Girl said eagerly. "Now who's next?"
"None of us!" Ishizu responded, suddenly opening her eyes. "Got you!" She cast her arms forward and beams of yellow light shot forth towards Dark Magician Girl, twisting themselves and binding her sternly in three places.
"Go!" Ishizu grunted, struggling to maintain her binding spell. "Try to fix Luna!"
Alexis and Tea dashed for Luna, who was standing at attention about halfway between them and Dark Magician Girl. "Luna, Luna," Tea insisted, reaching for her veil, "you have to snap-" Luna's arm snapped out, intercepting Tea's hand and clutching it. "Luna… you're hurting me," Tea said, finding it odd that the slender girl could be so strong.
"I have surrendered to the mistress," Luna stated in a monotone. "You shall surrender too."
"Like hell she will!" Alexis said, dashing in from the other side. "I'll-eek!" she yelped, suddenly seized in a vice-like grip from behind. Another of the harem-girls had deployed, and she too was stronger than she appeared, having a firm grasp on Alexis' shoulders.
"You too, Alexis," Luna said. "All shall surrender."
"No… way…!" Tea spat, struggling to free her arm from Luna's grasp.
"Luna, show Tea here some hospitality," Dark Magician Girl said. "We wouldn't want her to surrender unwillingly."
"Yes, mistress," Luna said. In a swift movement, she had Tea locked in a close embrace. Tea struggled, but there was nowhere she could go and nothing further she could do to resist. Luna's veil began to glow, and she leaned in and kissed Tea, her lips slipping through the veil and making contact with Tea's.
"Mmf!" Tea's squeal was muffled in the kiss. Her struggles reached a higher tempo as she tried to wrench her lips free, but she could not: the magic was already penetrating the very core of her being, calling her to submission as well. Slowly, oh so slowly, her struggles ceased, and she went limp in Luna's grip.
Alexis could do little more than watch in horror as Tea went limp, and then saw Tea's eyes open anew with that same lifeless, glazed look, mirroring Luna's eyes. "What did you do to her?"
"I just introduced her into the fold," Dark Magician Girl said. "There are so many ways to do it; wearing the Veil of Submission, getting kissed by someone wearing the Veil of Submission. I can show you something even better," she added seductively, "but first I guess I should deal with this." She shut her eyes, concentrating, then swiftly burst the bonds of light that held her.
"Damn!" Ishizu spat. Then she too was captured by another harem-girl. "Let me go!"
"I noticed you have a bit of magic talent," Dark Magician Girl said, "I'm totally jealous!" She laughed. "I'll have to turn your magic around on you." She swirled her finger around and the mystic light re-formed itself into a line, and then the line moved closer to Ishizu and twisted itself into a spiral.
"W-what are you doing?" Ishizu insisted, a note of fear entering her voice for the first time.
"Please do not resist," the harem girl said, bringing up her hands to make sure that Ishizu's eyes remained open.
"I… I…" Ishizu stammered. Already the spiral was beginning to disrupt her thoughts, playing on the fact that her resistance had already been significantly weakened by the powerful submission-aura that permeated the entire Realm.
"Shh," Dark Magician Girl soothed. "Just relax and allow the darkness to creep in, let your will bend to mine as it should."
"N-" Ishizu started, but even that spark of resistance was knocked down. The spiral had penetrated her consciousness, evident by the fact that her eyes now reflected the golden spiral perfectly. Her mouth hung open, and she was beginning to go limp, until she was consumed utterly. Then, as if a bell had gone off in her head, Ishizu stiffened. She lacked the lifeless gaze of all the others, her eyes instead dominated by the spirals. "Mmm…" she sighed, content in her mindlessness.
Not her too… Alexis thought, wanting this nightmare to end.
Yes, her too, Alexis heard a voice. Dark Magician Girl's voice. I told you I had something fun in store!
"What is this?" Alexis shouted aloud, alarmed.
Now now, Dark Magician Girl soothed, Can't we settle this inside your head?
I won't surrender my soul to you!
Alexis declared, though even in her mind it sounded like she wasn't completely confident in that assertion.
Dark Magician Girl identified her lack of confidence. Now I know you don't believe that. The fact that you can even hear me in your head means you're most of the way there. Let go.
Alexis wondered how it had come to this so quickly. All of a sudden she had ended up in this dark void, been introduced to the lord of the void, and lost the companions she had just met to that lord, and now she was going to fall. She knew it, and she knew that Dark Magician Girl knew it. It wasn't like she could escape anyway; what could be better than enjoying her stay, than serving at the pleasures of the mistress?
And as soon as she reached that conclusion, Alexis fell. The darkness outside swept into her mind, into her soul, wiping away what she had once been; accomplished duelist, student, daughter, sister. Everything was erased, everything except Mistress.

****
Dark Magician Girl had conquered again. She was currently enjoying the latest fruits of her labor; Luna, Tea Gardner, Ishizu Ishtar, and Alexis Rhodes. All four wore the Veil of Submission, though they were still clad in the clothes in which they had arrived, except for Ishizu. She had changed out of her boring dress into the standard harem-girl outfit, but her Egyptian duskiness meant she was still distinct among the harem.
Currently Luna and Tea danced for their mistress' pleasure, their bodies intertwining sinuously as they moved, showing off all their curves and creating something yet more beautiful as they worked together. Dark Magician Girl had cast off her imposing regalia, choosing to lounge about in a delicate white cloth that wrapped tightly around her body, exposing the Duel Monster's curves. She lounged happily in a plush chair, with Ishizu and Alexis at her side. Ishizu was gently massaging Dark Magician Girl's feet, while Alexis simply lay at her mistress' side.
Suddenly Dark Magician Girl lost consciousness for a moment, then awoke with a gasp. "Is something wrong, mistress?" Alexis asked, though mechanically, without any true concern in her voice.
"Mistress?" Dark Magician Girl asked. "When am I anyone's…?" Then it all came back to her. Her brief trip in to the Shadow Realm, seeking knowledge from an old sage who was said to know the secret of winning hearts and minds. "Oh dear, then I must have cast that spell on myself!" She looked around at the elaborate palace, and the dancers who continued to dance undisturbed. "Did I do all this?"
"All you see is the fruit of your labor, mistress," Ishizu said as she continued massaging her feet.
"That feels good…" she sighed. She looked around at the two dancing girls, the exotic Egyptian girl massaging her feet, and the beauty with the long blonde hair that lay beside her. "Not bad," she decided. "I could stick around here a while."

End.
This one is a very old request from Ninetalesuk, who requested a number of Yu Gi Oh girls be MCed. I added in Alexis because GX was the only Yu Gi Oh series i seriously watched

It wasn't until researching for this story that i learned that the Shadow Realm was just a 4Kids' bastardization effort to gloss the concept of "death" out of the Shadow Games, but it worked out well for the purposes of this story since it was the only way to conceivably get girls from the 3 different series' together. 4Kids deserves credit for that one (though they deserve a fiery damnation for what they did to One Piece)

Note to self: this one ran too long and was unbalanced with all the action crammed in the last quarter. Make it shorter and more balanced next round

I got a bit confused since I never watched the dub of 5Ds so I didn't recognize Luna (maybe mentioning that she has green hair would have helped me pick her out), but why is she in here and not Aki, she was 5D's main fanservice girl.
